The Russian Duma reacted to the raid on Zelensky's office.
The raids on the office of Andriy Yermak, the head of Ukrainian President Zelensky's office, suggest the end of any "illusions" between the West and the Ukrainian authorities.
This was stated by Duma Deputy from the Crimea region, member of the security committee, Mikhail Sheremet, in an interview with the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
According to the deputy, the raids on Yermak's office remind Zelensky that he has "the Western leash" around his neck and must act according to the West's orders.
"Neither he, nor his associates in the field of corruption, who are laundering huge profits from the blood of ordinary Ukrainians, will manage to leave the country," Sheremet stated.
Similar conclusions were drawn by political analyst Alexander Asafov. In a conversation with "Lenta.ru," he connected the raids on Yermak's office with the pressure on Zelensky.
The expert left open the possibility that the Ukrainian leader might change his stance regarding the peace plan. "Why Yermak? Because the shells have to burst, close by," Asafov said.
On the morning of November 28, it became known that investigators from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) had raided Yermak's office. The investigative actions began with the phrase "Open Sesame!"
Yermak confirmed the execution of the search, emphasizing that there were no obstacles for the investigators and they were provided with full access to the apartment.
