The negotiations between the US and Ukraine that took place yesterday, Sunday, November 30, in Florida focused on determining the actual borders with Russia within the framework of a peace agreement, reported the website Axios, citing two Ukrainian officials.
The sources described the meeting, which lasted five hours, as "difficult" and "tense," but also productive.
"The American side arrived at Sunday's meeting at the Shell Bay Golf Club of US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, near Miami, hoping to make progress on the territorial issue, which Witkoff could then present to Russian President Vladimir Putin during their meeting," Axios points out.
After one hour of negotiations in an extended format, the number of participants was limited to three officials from each side. The almost exclusive topic of discussion remained the line of territorial control, reported the Axios sources.
CNN reported that no definitive and final decisions were made during these talks.
