Iran sets 7 conditions to reopen Hormuz as Houthis pound Khamis Mushait base

Iran imposes 7 conditions on the US to open Hormuz, maritime control passes to Iran, deal with Oman on September 14, the Houthis demolished the Khamis Mushait military base of Saudi Arabia

The situation in the Persian Gulf is taking on a clearer form following the miserable failure of the American military to assert control.
The US has completely lost its prestige in the Persian Gulf, no American military base remains operational, 17 military bases have been destroyed, marking unprecedented humiliation for the American military.
And while Trump claims for the 134th time that he defeated Iran, how the «defeated» party manages to dictate terms is a paradox.
Iran is imposing 7 conditions to reopen Hormuz, and all 7 conditions are humiliating for the Americans.
Meanwhile, the Houthis in Yemen have launched a massive offensive, shattering the army and mercenaries of Saudi Arabia while destroying 38 Brigades of Saudi Arabia, attacking southern Saudi Arabia with missiles and drones, inflicting heavy destruction.
The Khamis Mushait military base in Saudi Arabia was dismantled.
The attack was retaliation for multiple strikes carried out by the air force of Saudi Arabia against Houthi positions in Yemen.

Iran imposes 7 conditions on the US to open Hormuz, maritime control passes to Iran, deal with Oman on September 14

Iran submitted 7 conditions to the United States for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, reports Tasnim.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic announced that Iran will host a meeting with Iraq and Persian Gulf nations in Oman on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Safe maritime routes for commercial shipping along this waterway will be discussed.
«Iran, through intermediaries, proposed 7 conditions to the American side for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and until these seven conditions, approved by senior Iranian officials, are fulfilled, the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed».
It added, however, that the agreements between Iran and Oman, which the parties hope to announce on Monday, September 14, 2026, do not entail the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Other nations will attend the meeting solely to receive information regarding the specifics of maritime organization in Hormuz.
«1) Inbound passage into the Persian Gulf will transit entirely through the territorial waters of Iran.
2) The outbound route from the Persian Gulf will transit partially through the territorial waters of Iran».
3) The southern corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, which the US insisted on opening, will be shut down.
4) Iran demands the lifting of sanctions.
5) Iran demands the unfreezing of Iranian assets.
6) American bases near Hormuz and the Persian Gulf must be closed.
7) All hostile actions and the naval blockade of the Persian Gulf must halt, and the economic blockade must be lifted.
Prior to the escalation of hostilities in the region, Hormuz was one of the cornerstone corridors for international energy trade, handling roughly 20% of global crude oil and liquefied natural gas flows.
In mid-August 2026, Trump claimed that the route was open to navigation while Iran was subjected to a naval blockade.
Iran, however, maintains the exact opposite.
Due to continuous tensions, the number of crude tankers and gas carriers transiting the route has plummeted drastically from 100 vessels daily down to 12 vessels daily.

Ambrey Intelligence: Panama-flagged vessel damaged in Hormuz, explosions in Qeshm, Iran

According to maritime intelligence firm Ambrey Intelligence, a Panama-flagged tanker «reported sustaining damage from an unidentified projectile while sailing toward the Strait of Hormuz».
The tanker transmitted a distress call (Mayday) over VHF channel 16, stating that it was disabled and unable to maintain propulsion following the impact.
IRNA also reported that «two explosions occurred in Qeshm originating from the sea».

The Houthis demolished the Khamis Mushait military base of Saudi Arabia

The Armed Forces of Yemen under the Ansar Allah, or Houthi, movement executed an extensive operation employing missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles targeting the Saudi military base of Khamis Mushait in the Sharurah district of southern Saudi Arabia, in response to ongoing Saudi attacks against Yemen.
The operation targeted weapons depots as well as command and control centers involved in directing military operations against Yemen and its people.
«The operation was executed with a large salvo of ballistic missiles and drones, and the strike was precise and direct».
According to the Houthis, further strikes by Saudi Arabia will trigger larger military retaliation from Yemen.
«We confirm to the criminal Saudi enemy that the continuation of its aggression against our people will be confronted with harsher and wider operations deep inside its territory, the consequences of which will be disastrous».
It should be noted that combat aircraft of Saudi Arabia carried out 129 airstrikes across seven provinces of Yemen over the preceding 48 hours.
According to the Houthis, the raids targeted the cities of Taiz, Marib, Hudaydah, Al-Jawf, Saada, Amran, and Hajjah.
The attacks were carried out by Saudi F-15 and Typhoon combat aircraft operating from air bases of Saudi Arabia in Khamis Mushait and Taif.
A senior military commander from Yemen stated that their forces dealt a major blow to the «New Middle East» geopolitical design following the completion of their control over the strategic Strait of Bab al-Mandab.
Forces of Yemen took control of Perim island, also known as Mayun island in Arabic.
The island is located in the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, connecting the Red Sea with the Gulf of Aden.

Houthis: Trump is a liar and a clown, we asked nothing from the Americans

The Ansar Allah, or Houthi, organization of Yemen categorically rejected the claim made by President of the US Trump that the resistance faction asked the US not to intervene in the hostilities across the Arabian Peninsula.
A member of the political bureau of Ansar Allah dismissed the assertion as «baseless and false», stressing that no official of the government of Yemen contacted the White House.
«As usual, Trump talks aimlessly and lies like a clown, the criminal Trump weaves baseless narratives. But reality is encapsulated in the old proverb: «The hand you cannot break, kiss it and pray for it to break»».
Earlier, Trump claimed that officials from Ansar Allah telephoned Washington, requesting non-intervention in the conflict against the puppet regime supported by Saudi Arabia based in Aden.
Yemen is divided in two, with the Ansar Allah, or Houthi, movement on one side and the administration aligned with Saudi Arabia on the other.
«Ansar Allah, or the Houthis, called us and they do not want to fight us», Trump told journalists during a visit to Dublin, the capital of Ireland. «They do not want us going after them».
He added that «everything will work out fine» in the region.
According to the American news website Axios, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia telephoned Trump twice on September 10 requesting that the US strike the Ansar Allah, or Houthi, movement, but the President of the US refused.
Military forces of Yemen under Ansar Allah, or the Houthis, liberated hundreds of kilometers along the strategic Red Sea coastline and inflicted heavy casualties on mercenary units backed by Saudi Arabia.
This development comes as the armed forces of Yemen regained control over Perim island, also known as Mayun island in Arabic, cementing their hold over the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, a vital maritime corridor linking the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Recent developments are unfolding against a backdrop of mounting tensions along the western shores of Yemen, where forces of Yemen and mercenaries backed by Saudi Arabia have engaged in clashes over vital coastal sectors and strategic positions.
These events have shifted the balance of power on the western front, prompting Saudi Arabia to launch airstrikes against positions and infrastructure in Yemen.
