A memorandum of understanding for the development of one of the largest tourism projects planned in Northern Greece over the coming years has been signed by the AKTOR Group and ONYX Tourism.
The agreement concerns the study, design, and construction of the project "Agrotourism Village with Complex Tourist Accommodation in Sani, Halkidiki," which ONYX plans to develop with an initial budget amounting to approximately 400 million euros.
What the project entails
The project will be developed on privately owned land in Sani, Halkidiki, and includes, among other things, a five-star hotel unit, tourist residences, communal facilities, infrastructure works, landscaping of the surrounding area, as well as all necessary auxiliary facilities.
Under the agreement, the AKTOR Group will provide technical support services during the preparation stage of the investment. Specifically, it will proceed with reviewing studies regarding their completeness and constructability (constructability review), drafting proposals for value engineering (Value Engineering – VE), as well as formulating the schedule and overall implementation strategy within the framework of the pre-construction phase (Early Contractor's Involvement – ECI).
Following the completion of this phase, the AKTOR Group will also undertake the execution of the main construction works until the full completion of the project and the commencement of its commercial operation.
This specific investment is among the largest development projects planned in Northern Greece and is expected to significantly bolster the Halkidiki tourism product, with an emphasis on agrotourism and high-end hospitality.
