During a speech at the European Parliament, Von der Leyen said the EU will send over 2 gigawatts of electricity to Ukraine to help stabilize the country's energy system and cover production losses caused by the war.
"We will restore the damage. We will stabilize Ukraine's energy system, sending over 2 gigawatts of electricity from our Union to Ukraine," the Commission President stated, emphasizing that the EU will "protect critical infrastructure," using, among other things, "new anti-drone equipment."
