National Interest: Europe collapses under the invasion of the silent
This invasion is not carried out with tanks, armored vehicles or artillery. It is carried out with population flows that in the last decade have fundamentally altered the European structure.

Europe is experiencing a historic turning point.
This is not an economic crisis, a pandemic or geopolitical turbulence.
According to National Interest, the continent is facing a phenomenon that resembles a strategic invasion rather than a social transformation.
And this invasion is not done with tanks, armored vehicles or artillery.
It is done with population flows that in the past decade have radically changed the European structure, demographically, politically, economically, culturally and in terms of security.
Europe did not realize in time that it stood before a black swan, a form of attack it had never seen and therefore never understood how to defend against.

The invisible kind of war - When society collapses before it can defend itself

History is full of moments when a new form of warfare completely surprises the opponent.
The nomads of the Eurasian steppe with their horses, the Byzantine liquid fire, the English longbowmen or the first British tanks of World War I.
Europe, National Interest argues, is today confronted with something similar, but this time the enemy is not visible. He does not wear a uniform, he does not cross borders with military columns. He enters legally, often without control, exploiting European self destructive naivety.

The consequences are already visible:

1) Increase in crime
2) Pressure on state finances
3) Breakdown of social services
4) Disintegration of the educational system
5) Terror networks
6) Dramatic undermining of social cohesion

Governments respond with embarrassment. In reality, they do not even understand what is happening to them.

The initial mistake - Europe believed it was welcoming Syrian doctors and families

In 2014–2016, under the weight of the Syrian crisis, Europe opened its gates believing that the newcomers were Syrian refugees, family oriented, educated, people ready to integrate.
It turned out the assumption was a fantasy.
Most were unmarried young men, with low or no education, from dozens of countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia and many others far beyond the original crisis zone.
By 2024, refugees numbered 11 million from 147 countries.
Europe had no idea what it had admitted.

Why this migration fusion of civilizations did not work

National Interest recalls the example of the Bosnians of the 1990s, Muslims, wounded by war, conservative but willing to function within the societies that accepted them.
Today the second generation of Bosnians is fully integrated with lower unemployment than the average of the host countries. The current migration flows have nothing to do with that model.

The difference lies in three points:

1) The numbers are enormous
2) The educational level is extremely low
3) The intention to integrate is essentially nonexistent

According to the article, large groups of newcomers reject European values, disdain work and prefer to live on benefits.

Essentially, they did not migrate to integrate but to establish a parallel society within European cities.

The demographic shock: Europe does not give birth - The newcomers give birth massively

Europe is demographically declining. No country reaches the replacement rate of 2.1 children per woman. In many, the number ranges between 1.2 and 1.5.
In contrast, Afghans, Pakistanis, Somalis, Syrians bring rates of 3 to 6 children per woman.
This is not just a social issue. It is a geopolitical transformation. In two decades, statistics show that some major European capitals will have majorities that will not self identify as Europeans.
The article puts it shockingly clearly, “There will be people in Europe, but they will not be Europeans.”

Parallel societies, from the outskirts of Paris to the suburbs of Vienna

The first generations of migrants in Europe were concentrated in neighborhoods that gradually improved.

Today, however, grey zones are emerging that function as autonomous societies:

1) Outskirts of Paris, dangerous even for police
2) Neighborhoods of Vienna, Frankfurt, Stockholm where young men guard streets
3) Sharia Police in Germany
4) Women with full or semi full coverings
5) Families with 6 to 8 children living exclusively on state benefits

In certain cases, refugee families receive up to 9,000 euros per month only from benefits, an amount higher than the average European pension.

The collapse of the political center and the concealment of reality

Centrist governments feel trapped, the Left labels every criticism as racism, the Right fuels fear, bureaucracy hides statistics and reality grows under the carpet.
At the same time, the elites insist on comparing the current crisis with older successful migrations.
The truth, however, is that this phenomenon is unprecedented in size, speed, population composition and ideological background.

These are not migrants, they are an occupying force

The article concludes with a dramatic but clear position.
When a group of people does not come to integrate but to impose its own way of life, the hosts are not welcoming migrants. They are hosting a form of mild demographic occupation.
And Europe no longer has time.

What must be done

National Interest does not say it explicitly, but it implies it with crystalline clarity:

1) Closed borders now
2) Rapid deportation of those not entitled to asylum
3) Abolition of benefits that create parasitic structures
4) Demanding integration, not permissive tolerance
5) Protection of European culture and way of life
6) Restart of demographic policy for Europeans

If Europe does not act, the article warns that the continent will change beyond all recognition not in 100 years but in one generation.

Final warning

Europeans mourn for the women of Afghanistan under the Taliban.
National Interest poses the most worrying question of the entire article,
Could European women be mourning for their own daughters?
