To suggest the revision cannot proceed due to pending wiretapping litigation is an absolute joke.
It is a matter of common knowledge that Evangelos Venizelos is deeply resentful that the Prime Minister did not nominate him for President of the Republic. The presidency would have served as a secure bastion, providing him with a platform and a voice to defend his political capital. However, Mitsotakis preferred someone he could more easily manage. Yet, for Venizelos to go as far as to argue that the Constitutional Revision cannot proceed because of a pending case at the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court regarding wiretapping is a complete joke. How can a constitutional process be halted by a simple court of law? We believe he should be advised by a communications expert to better conceal his bitterness.
