Tension around Venezuela is increasing at an alarming rate, as the United States strengthens its military presence in the Caribbean and proceeds with moves indicating preparation for a military operation.
On 26 November, the United States Secretary of War Peter Hegseth visited military facilities in Puerto Rico and inspected warships while holding meetings with senior officers of the Southern Command (SOUTHCOM).
A few days earlier, the region had also been visited by the second-highest-ranking officer of the American military, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Keane, who also visited SOUTHCOM headquarters in Florida.
During his stay in the Caribbean, he inspected the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford and spoke with Air Force pilots, having himself been a veteran and former F-16 pilot.
Since 24 November, SOUTHCOM proceeded with the apparently emergency decision to cancel leave and holidays for all military personnel in its area of responsibility, a rare event during American holidays, as even Donald Trump is on vacation.
The directive requires everyone to remain in a state of high readiness, indicating possible developments that would require immediate operational response.
In an unprecedented move, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a strict warning to all airlines, characterizing the airspace over and near Venezuela as “unsafe” at all altitudes.
Although the directive does not directly prohibit flights, companies risk losing their operating license to the United States, leading them to mass cancellations and schedule changes.
Meanwhile, throughout the past week, strategic B-52 and B-1B bombers of the United States Air Force carried out provocative flights along the coasts of Venezuela, simulating, as their movements suggest, cruise missile launches.
Diplomatic pressure or prelude to a military operation?
American activities around the Bolivarian Republic have been intensifying for months, with continual “leaks” of new potential dates for launching a military operation from White House sources.
At the same time, Western media circulate information about alleged secret negotiations between Nicolas Maduro and Donald Trump, with Washington reportedly offering security guarantees to the Venezuelan leader.
However, the practical dimension of developments shows the opposite, Maduro has been officially designated by the United States as the head of the “Suns” drug cartel, while this group has been placed on the list of international terrorist organizations, equating Maduro with figures such as Osama bin Laden or al-Baghdadi.
The confrontation with Venezuela has already negatively affected Trump’s approval ratings.
Given that a new election cycle begins in January, with local elections, congressional primaries and a battle for control of the legislature, the administration seeks a “successful” operation that would be completed before the end of the year.
At the same time, several Republican representatives and senators have already announced their departure, among them Marjorie Taylor Greene, until recently a fervent supporter of Trump.
Further decline in Trump’s popularity could drag down the entire party, endangering the already narrow congressional majority.
Until recently, the Pentagon’s operational plan relied on targeted operations by special forces and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, with surprise attacks on critical industrial and military facilities.
The strategy changed abruptly in late October. Now the plan is based on extensive air and missile strikes, closer to the classic invasion model.
This shift remains unexplained, yet since early November, intense regrouping of forces around Venezuela has been observed.
The arrival of the USS Gerald Ford and the F-35B in the area
The most modern American aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald Ford, has been deployed off Venezuela.
The vessel, larger than Nimitz-class carriers, is designed for increased air operations and carries larger quantities of fuel, ammunition and spare parts.
At the same time, air bases in Puerto Rico have been reactivated, allowing the deployment of F-35B fighters from the Marine Corps, to be joined by additional Air Force aircraft.
The F-35 is expected to assume critical roles, from achieving air superiority to suppressing Venezuela’s advanced air defense, which includes S-125, Buk-M2 and the particularly dangerous S-300VM system.
Colombia, which under other circumstances would serve as key territory for ground operations, is trying to distance itself.
President Gustavo Petro states that he will not allow Colombian territory to be used for an invasion of Venezuela. However, his influence over military and paramilitary structures is limited, while far-right groups remain active and potentially out of control.
Third World War
The famous radio host, filmmaker, author and archaeological excavation specialist Steve Quayle warns of an attack on Venezuela, which could lead the fragile global economy to collapse.
The United States has strengthened its forces in the Caribbean to an unprecedented degree, and it seems that the target is Venezuela, a country operating as a criminal organization.
Journalist Alex Newman explained in detail what was happening about three weeks ago on USAW.
Newman said, “You cannot distinguish the cartels from the government.
The ‘Cartel of the Sun’ is run by leaders of the military and intelligence services.
President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela is the head of this cartel.”
Things are getting even worse as there is now confirmed involvement of China, Russia and Iran in Venezuela, causing security concerns for America in the Western Hemisphere.
Top generals are meeting with American forces in the region.
Quayle warns, “The danger is something we deal with every day, but let us talk about an elevated risk level and for World War III. There is nothing more critical than that.
Venezuela has received hypersonic missiles from Iran and Russia.
The Chinese are in Venezuela as well.”
The United States canceled an attack
Quayle says his sources report that the United States canceled an attack.
As he explains, “It was canceled. They did not want to send multi-billion-dollar bombers that were in the sights of the S-500 missile defense system.
Essentially, the plan was to carry out a bombing, to use heavy bombers with large payloads, but then they discovered that the S-400 and S-500 missile systems had been deployed and manned by people who know how to operate them.
I think it would have been foolish to start a World War event, and the bombing of Venezuela would have been only the beginning.
The same goes for the cartels in Mexico.
My sources tell me that President Trump has been informed by China and Russia that ‘if you bomb them, we will come to their aid.’”
Quayle has been warning for a long time about civil unrest and look at what is happening with members of Congress telling members of the United States Armed Forces not to obey President Trump’s orders.
Also look at the shootings in Washington against the National Guard this week.
Quayle says, “We are under attack from the inside and from the outside.
Antifa and BLM are being trained by some of the best terrorists in the world. We are facing the communist takeover and overthrow of America.”
If war breaks out, Quayle continues, saying, “The danger has never been greater. There is no economy, and it will have to collapse.
Why do I believe this will be the period of collapse? Look at the student loan situation that amounts to 1.2 trillion dollars.
Auto loans are also at 1.2 trillion.
The car market is dead. The bond market is a disaster.
China is selling American bonds.”
Liquidity problems
Perhaps this is why billionaire investors Jeff Gundlach and Ray Dalio are warning of liquidity problems and are buying physical gold for the first time in their investment careers.
Quayle warns, “The greatest risk for war starting in Venezuela is between Thanksgiving (25 November) and Christmas.
You should not travel long distances and you should stay close to your supplies.”
In closing, Quayle says, “God’s manual, the Holy Bible, is the only thing that can keep us in perfect peace at the End of the Age.”
