There is a deal: ND and PASOK agree on a coalition government under three fiery terms... with the blessings of powerful businessmen
ND and PASOK have found common ground... the general framework exists, and despite clashes and denials... this is the truth

Despite denials, despite party conference resolutions, and despite statements that «we do not want Mitsotakis»... there is a deal between ND and PASOK.
This deal concerns a coalition government between ND and PASOK, and based on a highly reliable source, it encompasses the following parameters, comprising three conditions:

1) ND must be above 25 percent
2) Kyriakos Mitsotakis to serve as prime minister with an expiration date up to 2029, subsequently assuming a post in Europe... for instance, in November 2029 the term of Ursula von der Leyen as President of the European Commission expires, and that of Christine Lagarde potentially expires in November 2027...
3) Many powerful businessmen are pushing for the coalition government and have undertaken appropriate initiatives both above and under the table...

First condition: ND must be above 25 percent

Recently, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the leader of ND and Prime Minister, spoke of 25 percent.
Many considered it a message of... succession, but this interpretation is incorrect.
Fearing a breakdown in party cohesion, he essentially lowered the bar in order to bring back into the «fold», as the late Evangelos Averoff would say... dissatisfied or distanced voters of ND.
ND currently stands at 26 to 27 percent... it is not at 23 percent, but neither is it at 31 percent...
However, Antonis Samaras is coming with momentum and will announce a party in February or March 2027, while Ilias Kasidiaris, who reshuffled the political deck once again, is polling from the outset at 4 to 5 percent, potentially reaching 7 to 8 percent.
Yet if ND under Kyriakos Mitsotakis drops below 25 percent, it obviously loses the seat bonus, the electoral system becomes fully proportional, Kyriakos Mitsotakis resigns, and then two figures will find themselves at the center of the succession...
Kyriakos Mitsotakis with a share of 25.1 percent will not resign, even if faced with criticism for falling below the European election percentage.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis with 24.9 percent will resign and will not even proceed to a second round of elections...
Nevertheless, a scenario recently contemplated is holding elections not on May 9, but on June 6, 2027, so that young people will have left for seasonal work on the islands, leaving older voters, who continue to support the narrative of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to turn out and vote.

Second condition: Mitsotakis will be a transitional prime minister

The condition that entices PASOK, despite the official narrative that it will not cooperate with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, is for Kyriakos Mitsotakis to state that he will not complete the four-year term and will essentially turn to a European post...
The prospect of heading the ECB, because the term expires at the end of 2027..., does not gather high probabilities, requiring specialized expertise...
However, in 2029 the term of Ursula von der Leyen as President of the European Commission expires, or another influential post, meaning... he will be a prime minister with an expiration date.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis... despite denials... accepts this term, namely to serve as Prime Minister with an expiration date before the conclusion of the four-year term, that is, May 2031...

Third condition... under the blessings of businessmen

ND and PASOK appear to maintain open channels with shared businessmen, some of whom are very powerful...
These businessmen frequently maintain contacts with government ministers, the Maximos Mansion, and key cadres of PASOK, even if they deny it for obvious reasons...
Businessmen have taken action through all available means, including old traditional ones...

Conclusion

ND and PASOK have found common ground... the general framework exists, and despite clashes and denials... this is the truth.
However, the established conditions... appear likely to be honored, because Kyriakos Mitsotakis would ideally like to serve, even as a transitional prime minister, for a third term to register it as an achievement, and subsequently move to Europe for an influential post with strong negotiating leverage.
Things are very simple... realistic, and behind the denials... they simply conceal what has been agreed... with the blessings of powerful businessmen... namely the well-known figures one might imagine, and perhaps two or three who are privileged interlocutors of the Maximos Mansion...

Footnote

In the event of a succession... in ND, matters will not unfold as many might imagine... the younger candidate has greater chances than the elder.
