Ilias Kasidiaris addressed the energy crisis, imports of Russian fuels, and political developments in Greece through a social media post, while leveling criticism at his political opponents. Ilias Kasidiaris revisited the issue of energy policy, arguing that he had pointed out in a timely manner the necessity of procuring cheap fuel from Russia as a means to tackle the energy crisis.
Specifically, in his post he cited an interview he had granted to BNtv on September 23, during which, as he states, he had described the purchase of cheap Russian fuel as the most immediate solution to the energy crisis.
At the same time, he spoke of a deal between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin regarding the release of 1.8 million tons of Russian diesel onto the international market, presenting this development as confirmation of his previous position.
Barbs against Mitsotakis and Tsipras
Ilias Kasidiaris also launched an attack against the political establishment, directing his fire at both Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Alexis Tsipras. As he asserted, while he and his political faction were submitting proposals on major national issues, their political opponents were engaging in staged party-political skirmishes.
Reference to the polling numbers of "Symmachia Ellinon"
Closing his statement, Ilias Kasidiaris referenced "Symmachia Ellinon", maintaining that it registers double-digit percentages and that citizens view this political formation as a credible alternative proposal for governance.
